Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Natter mobile application and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The Service is provided by Pál Gábor, an individual based in Hungary (the “Operator”, “we”, “us”). Contact: palgabor94@gmail.com.

1. The Service

Natter is an AI-powered language-practice app that lets you have spoken conversations, receive automated feedback and corrections, and track your progress. The Service uses artificial intelligence; while we strive for quality, AI-generated content (including transcripts, corrections, and explanations) may contain errors and should not be relied upon as professional, educational, or certified language instruction.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using Natter you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

3. Your account

You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for keeping any credentials secure. You must not misuse the Service or attempt to access it in ways not permitted by these Terms.

4. Subscriptions & payments

Some features may require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, subject to their terms. Unless you cancel beforehand, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your app store account settings. Refunds, where applicable, are handled by the relevant app store. Any statutory right of withdrawal you may have under EU/Hungarian consumer law remains unaffected.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purpose;
• attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or overload the Service or its infrastructure;
• use the Service to generate or distribute content that is illegal, infringing, or harmful;
• circumvent any usage limits, security, or access controls.

6. Your content

“Your content” includes the audio you speak during sessions and the resulting transcripts. You retain ownership of your content. You grant us a limited licence to process your content solely to operate and provide the Service to you (for example, to transcribe your speech and generate feedback), as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and content (excluding your content), is owned by the Operator or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights in the Service other than the limited right to use it in accordance with these Terms.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated output will be accurate or suitable for any particular purpose.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for intentional misconduct. Your mandatory rights as a consumer under EU and Hungarian law remain unaffected.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that may cause harm or legal liability. On termination, the provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g. intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hungary, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules of the country in which you reside. Disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent Hungarian courts, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
